Effective communications among stakeholders is a vital component of collaboration and governance. In order for continuous improvement in healthcare to be effective, stakeholders at all institutional levels must be involved. It was necessary to guarantee that the project group and other divisional officials communicated the stated objectives straightforwardly, smoothly, and unambiguous.
I was brave in voicing my thoughts and courteously responding to the concerns of the group members, and as the official project coordinator, I respected their perspectives. If the team needs any explanation or direction on the project’s progress, they can get in touch with me both formally and informally. A mix of management and decision-making processes led to an improvement in the group members’ trust, cooperation, and interaction.
The hospital might, for instance, implement a financial incentive program to acknowledge individual and group efforts in order to foster better teamwork and dedication to shared objectives (Nguyen & Gonzalez, 2021). Members of the group were encouraged by this to focus not just on their individual achievements but also on the performance of the teams by having mutual trust. Lastly, I was able to recognize the advantages and disadvantages of each member of my group through education, coaching, and general and private meetings. I used this information to assign tasks and maintain group harmony in order to complete the project on time. As a result, in my perspective, a leader must be aware of their benefits and pitfalls.
The establishment of ethical standards provides health professionals with functional guidelines for their interactions and helps them stay focused on their individual roles. Among the moral perspectives are autonomy, beneficence, justice, and non-maleficence; when any two of these criteria conflict, an ethical conundrum results (Nikolay Boldyrev, 2020). When treating several patients during the project’s implementation, some caregivers continued to neglect basic hygiene and instead utilized gloves, which led to the nosocomial infection spreading from one patient to another.
I gave it another go, but her carelessness persisted. I had to decide whether to report her to the proper authorities, which would have slowed down the deployment, or to give the patient’s needs top priority. The idea of justice ensures that patients are treated fairly (Binz & Schulz, 2023). Thus, it is unfair to continue to excuse the negligence of caregivers and places patients in an awkward situation. I realized that the patient was harmed by the physician’s pardon. Other moral precepts, including beneficence and non-maleficence, which require healthcare professionals to act in their patients’ best interests, conflict with this choice.
To select the most effective leadership, decision-making, and communication styles for varied projects, a project manager needs to be knowledgeable about a variety of these traits. Members of the group must get along and work together to accomplish the purpose and shared values. Finally, it is the responsibility of a leader to make sure that the group and stakeholders are informed on the project’s progress.
